Stampin' Up's Four Feathers in autumn colours

Feathers are quite a trend at the moment, so it's no surprise to me that Stampin' Up's Four Feathers stamp set is proving to be so popular. The artwork is beautiful too and they have coordinating dies for fuss-free cutting out. Come and see what I've been making with my set:

Feathers are often shown in light or pastel colours but today's card is all about richer shades - Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss with a splash of gold!

The gold feather has been cut out with its matching die and accented with a couple of the mini staples - I love these as a subtle embellishment.

The sentiment has been embossed in gold too and just the tips of the feathers added to the bottom of the card. I'm loving the rich colours of autumn but I really must get on with some Christmas creations!

One of the places I've seen feathers recently was as centre pieces on the tables at the Silver 2 reception at Stampin' Up convention.

Everything looked so beautiful but it did cross my mind that those decorations would come in very handy for doing the dusting!

Tomorrow is Artisan Blog Hop day - woohooo! There's always so much amazing inspiration to be seen so do make a date to come back tomorrow and don't miss a thing!

  3. Love the card!

Dusters?! - I think we need to get you out more. You should be looking at those feathers as feather boas for your ballroom dancing, not as dusters! Just what size are your cobwebs?? LOL

  8. Hi Vicky,
I am a fellow demo in US and just found your blog! I love all you do-so deserving to be a SU Artisan! I am stumped! What is the little "goldfish" looking see-through tape at the bottom of the card that you stapled through?

    1. Thank you so much for the compliment Nancy! That little detail is gold washi tape from the Watercolour Wonder pack.
