Glowing Christmas star using Kinda Eclectic from Stampin' Up

One of the best things about running a Stampin' Up business is not having to face that depressing Monday morning feeling! Have you ever considered starting up a business around your passion for stamping and papercrafting? You CAN make it work you know - Stampin' Up makes it easy for you to succeed and I'd be right there to help, motivate and encourage you every step of the way. Find out more by clicking here.

FOLLOW THAT STAR!
But I digress! I'm here to show you the one layer Christmas card I made at the weekend when I saw the Starry Night challenge at Less is More. I'd been stamping with Stampin' Up's Kinda Eclectic stamp set when I had the idea of using that sunburst image as the glow of the Christmas star, so this was my chance to test it out! Come and see:

I masked off the bottom of the card front with a sticky note and stamped the 'glow' in So Saffron ink. A punched star, a trimmed strip of washi and a row of piercing and the card was done! I couldn't find a suitable sentiment in my collection so I used my computer to print this one.

I dragged all my menfolk out to the shops yesterday afternoon - I hope you're impressed! They all needed one or two items of clothing and we had presents to get for some upcoming birthdays. On the way home in the car, the conversation turned to Christmas shopping with the boys saying how tricky it could be. I explained that successful gift shopping entailed listening out for clues."For example," I said."I've dropped at least ten hints about things I like while we've been shopping today!" There was an astonished silence.

See you tomorrow when I'll have TWO cards to show you!

  1. Morning Vicky I love this Christmas card it's simple but striking and the sentiment is perfect. When you create a computer sentiment do you print direct to your card or do you print onto paper and attach It?
I've posted some notelets on my blog made using my new ink pads and card, they are brilliant I live them all

    1. I don't do this very often to be honest Jackie as it's a bit of a faff! When I do, it has to be because I want a specific sentiment and I usually print it direct to my card.

Just popping over to have a look at your notelets now! x
