Amazing Christmas using Amazing Birthday by Stampin' Up

Isn't it fun when you think of an alternative way to use your stamps? One of my favourite stamp sets from the Stampin' Up annual catalogue is Amazing Birthday. Come and see what I did with it today:

The largest stamp in the set usually says 'Make today ridiculously amazing' - a greeting which I think is brilliant! I've given it a Christmas twist by inking it up with markers in festive colours, leaving out the word 'today'. In its place I put the word Christmas and a leafy decoration below it, using a stamp-a-majig for accurate position.

Isn't it fun? I'm already thinking of other words and other occasions - can you hear my brain whirring?!

Want to see this card as a birthday card?

Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry make a vibrant colour combo!

You know, for the last few days I have been really, really missing my lovely daughter. There was a lump in my throat there when I typed the word 'whirring' because of something she used to say to make me laugh. It was usually when I asked her to do something she didn't want to do. She would make a half-hearted protest and then take herself off to do whatever it was but as she left the room she would look at me and say "Whirrs, crossly!" Anyway, she phoned me yesterday to tell me she'll be home forr the holidays on the 12th so whoopeeeeee! Whirrs happily!

And it's Artisan Design Team blog hop day tomorrow, so things are looking good! I shall put away the tissues and see you tomorrow!

Now, put away those tissues and carry on whirring happily around the house . . . only 9 more sleeps til you see your daughter.

Please give Eva an extra hug from me . . . oh, and please stroke Tuppence so she doesn't feel left out!
