Little Sunshine gift box of note cards - Stampin' Up artisan blog hop

Are you ready for another inspiring hop around the world with the Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team? Well you've come to the right place! Each member of the team has been sent a box of the same products to use throughout March and you'll be amazed at how differently we use them!

BRING ME SUNSHINE STAMPIN' UP!
This week, I've inked up the gorgeous Little Sunshine stamp set to make my project. I've been making some cute baby cards with it, which I'll show you soon, but today I've come up with a different way to use it! Come and see:

This little box has a belly band that has been decorated with the pretty heart border using a delicious colour combination of Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze, then sponged with Crisp Cantaloupe ink. I love how some of the images in this set look woven.

To add extra interest, I stamped and cut out the heart image, topped it with a button and added a matching bakers twine bow. I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll never stop saying it, I LOVE how Stampin' Up products match!

So, shall we open the box and take a look inside?!

The band slides off and the box opens envelope style. It's easy to make using the Gift Box punch board - I used 6 x 6" card stock and used the L start line on the board.

Once the box had been scored and creased, I used Fastfuse to put it together like an envelope, leaving one flap open and rounding it for a neat finish...

... and you can see where I snipped the gusset on two corners to reduce bulk and encourage the box to close nicely!

It holds a set of simple, one layer, 3 x 3" note cards, each decorated with the border stamp and sponged again so that it coordinates nicely with the box. I added a nice, strong sentiment to the cards with the 'thank you' from my beloved Painted Petals stamp set.

Cream envelopes would have been fine but how much more exciting to have yummy Crisp Cantaloupe envelopes to coordinate with the note cards! I rustled these up in no time with that fabulous Envelope punch board!

Honestly, if you've been wondering whether the Envelope and the Gift Box punch boards should go on your wish list, my advice is never mind the wish list, order them now! They make a variety of boxes and envelopes in minutes and cost little more than a standard punch - go for it!

I hope you've enjoyed my project this week and I know you're going to love the rest of the team's work! Just click the button below to carry on with the hop, starting with the lovely Allison Okamitsu!
