Hello crafting friends!
Since it's too hot to be outside at the moment, I thought I'd dabble about with some inks! Come and see what I've made!
There's nothing like a deep red, velvety rose with a heady perfume to bury your nose into! It's the perfect flower for a real occasion :) These were from a gorgeous set call Modern Roses by Wplus9, coloured with my new Spectrum Noir alcohol markers - which I'm loving!
Do you like the background? So easy to do! I put a few drops of Pacific Point ink on a plate, added a little water, then sponged the diluted ink horizontally across the card panel and back again, really quickly.
You can maybe see the effect better in this photo. I finished the card off with one of my favourite birthday sentiments from Altenew's Birthday Greetings.
I'm entering this card into The Flower Challenge, where they're looking for cards made with your favourite flower; and Allsorts Challenge where feminine projects are the order of the day.

AND IN OTHER NEWS
Roses are beautiful flowers and I've always loved them. One year, I chose to go on a birthday trip to the stunning David Austin rose garden at Wolverhampton. It was a warm day and I enjoyed strolling through the gardens, breathing in the fragrance and taking in all the gorgeous roses,. But what really sticks in my memory about that day is that every time I turned down a path, there would be one or other of my naughty children doing a wicked parody of me bending and smelling the roses! There was a lot of laughing :)
Hugs,

I mean, granted our summers always run hot, but this year the humidity has been in high gear. =) I am so glad that you decided to come back and blog again. Your stories are always so funny. How is your daughter? Did she graduate from college already? your friend, Marisela mariandmonsterd@yahoo.com
