Itty Bitty Buds spring card

I feel that I am obsessed with spring now that it's beginning to happen. Today I was driving in the car and saw a whole bank of snowdrops - so beautiful. But the thing I love about spring is that you can have jugfuls of daffodils all over the house, with their fresh, green scent. Daffodils are what inspired today's card.

But first...

Look what arrived yesterday!

My Stampin' Up starter kit turned up in a large box. It was so exciting looking through it - there are things I've never tried and I'm so looking forward to experimenting with everything.

Look at all these goodies!
The observant will have noticed that there are five stamp sets rather than the usual four. That's because I signed up during sale-a-bration. Stampin' Up are very good like that!

Anyway, back to today's card. I was looking at my Itty Bitty Buds hostess set the other day and it occurred to me that if you layer two of the flower images it might look like daffodils. So that's what I did on this card using dimensionals for each layer:

Can I also say that I was in heaven when I tried the jumbo wheel. How fast is that? And how gorgeous? Feel that might be the first of a large collection of the wheels!

Supplies used (all Stampin' Up unless stated):
Stamps: Itty Bitty Buds (level 2 hostess set), It's Beautiful (jumbo wheel), Sincere Salutations
Ink: Certainly Celery, Yoyo Yellow, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Cardstock: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Scallop border punch, Paper-piercing tool, Pumpkin Pie stampin' write

Hope the spring sunshine reached you today - wherever you are.
Thanks for popping in!

Vicky

  1. Welcome to Stampin' Up! I'm impressed with how much you have posted in the short time you've been blogging. This last card is very nice, how you fashioned them to be daffodils. Very springy!
