I don't have a lily of the valley image but my new Apothecary Art set was out on my desk and I've been eyeing the roses on it! I stamped the image a couple of times using Wild Wasabi ink and coloured the flowers with White craft ink and the leaves with Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi markers before cutting them out. Here's a close-up:
The 'bouquet' was made by folding strips of Certainly Celery card stock into a piece of vellum paper and adding the cut out flower clusters with glue dots and dimensionals...
... and is tied up with the scrumptious Calypso Coral bakers twine.
It's laid on a background made of smooth and textured card stock layered with some green and white designer paper from the Twitterpated range. I added some scoring and a scalloped border for extra interest and chose one of the beautiful sentiments from the Apothecary Art set.
I hope my card has set you thinking about white flowers - it would be great if you'd join in at Make My Monday!
Here's what you'll need to make today's card:

It's great to have my family with me for the bank holiday. My teenage son is going through a dramatic phase. Yesterday he stubbed his toe getting up from the sofa and we watched open mouthed as he spun round and round on one leg, clutching his toe and yowling, and finally casting himself on the floor in a heap. "Are you alright?" I asked him anxiously. "Yeah I'm fine," he said cheerfully, picking himself up and disappearing in search of sausage rolls to keep his strength up.
I hope everyone in the British Isles is having a great bank holiday weekend and happy Monday wherever you are! I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of zingy birthday cards - hope to see you then.
Hugs,

Vicky, this is FABULOUS!! You have such an eye for using stamps in less-obvious ways. What a beautiful card. I love white flowers (my wedding bouquet was a simple one of white tulips - perfection!), and I love the greens you've used to complement the roses.
ReplyDeleteTotally stunning card Vicky! Lovely bouquet, so cleverly made.
ReplyDeleteLaughing about your son's dramatics - don't knock it, he could end up on the stage :)
