It takes time and patience to learn how to water colour effectively but when you have a stamp that mimics the fading out qualities, it's a doddle! I made this background in seconds by repeat-stamping the splodge image from the set, turning it upside down sometimes for variation.
The speech bubbles are such a fun way to add a message to a card and they have matching framelits for easy cutting out. There are some great examples in the set and I've used two of them in this card, but of course you can stamp the speech bubbles without messages by inking them up with markers and then you can write your own sentiments or print computer-generated ones.
I coloured the letter spaces in this message with a black marker so it matched the other one and added a tiny heart.
I'll be linking this card up with ATCAS where the cue word is Love and CASual Fridays where Over the Edge is the challenge.
Here's what you'll need to make this card
Stamps: Happy Watercolour, Just Sayin'
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe classic inks, Stazon black
Card stock: Whisper White, Pool Party
Other: Just Sayin' framelits, Big Shot, Basic Black marker

ReplyDeleteHi Vicky. Love the funky modern feel and it's a brill way to use your watercolour stamp. x
ReplyDeleteVery fun indeed! xxx
ReplyDeleteLove those speech bubbles! No comics? You were deprived, Vicky! xx
ReplyDeleteSo effective and says what it means, love it.
ReplyDeleteThat watercolouring had me fooled!! I love the mix of arty genre's and the way you filled in those letters. I used to pinch my brothers Beano comics *wink* :0)
ReplyDeleteI just love this! I am going to have to get that set just to do this because I STINK at watercoloring! My word bubbles came today and I can't wait to play with those. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing at ATCAS!
ReplyDeletePerfect, Vicki. I love the watercoloring and the Just Sayin sentiment popped over the edge. On trend and fabulous. So glad you shared it with us at ATCAS this week
