A look at the upcoming new in colours! - Stampin' Up artisan blog hop

It's Thursday, it's artisan blog hop day and oooh, there are lots of exciting new goodies to see on the hop this week! Are you ready?

ADD A LITTLE MORE COLOUR TO YOUR LIFE!
It isn't long before the new Stampin' Up annual catalogue is launched (2nd June, mark it in your diary!) and as always, everyone is excited to see the new stamp sets and tools and accessories AND of course the new colours! Well come and see!

Oh my goodness, aren't they exciting?!!! In the photo above you can see (clockwise from top) Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe! They sound like exotic cocktails to me! Oh, and check out those fabulous little resin flowers in all the new colours too!

So let's take a closer look at those new in colours:

MINT MACARON
A gorgeous blue-green colour - I predict this one will be an instant sell out! The left panel of the circle is Pool Party, the centre is Mint Macaron and the right is Lost Lagoon.

DELIGHTFUL DIJON
A deep, rich old gold, seen here on the central panel of the circle with So Saffron on its left and Hello Honey on its right. As usual, Stampin' Up is bang on trend with this fabulous 70s feel colour!

CUCUMBER CRUSH
Here's another colour with a trendy retro vibe - a lovely, zingy green! Seen here on the central panel of the circle, I love how it teams with Wild Wasabi (on the left) and Garden Green (on the right.)

TIP TOP TAUPE
I'm SO excited about this achingly sophisticated neutral - seen here in the central panel of the circle with Crumb Cake on the left and Soft Suede on the right.

WATERMELON WONDER
If you're looking for something to give a vibrant zing to your projects this flamboyant colour is definitely for you! Seen here on the central panel of the circle, it's pinker than Calypso Coral on its left and lighter and brighter than Real Red on its right.

BUT WHAT"S THIS?
You may be wondering about that faux washi tape feature on the right of the card? That and the 'kiss' is actually from a new alphabet set called Layered Letters Alphabet (watch this space because I have so many ideas for this versatile set!) and I used the new in colour inks to stamp them. The background was stamped off once and the kiss is the full colour.

I hope you've enjoyed my little look at the upcoming new in colours. If you're in the mood for more sneaky peeks, check out the projects from the other members of the artisan design team! Just click the button below to continue with the hop with Allison Okamitsu!

COME SHOPPING WITH ME!
If you have any queries, or prefer to speak to me, I'm happy to help.
You can contact me by email or phone on 01280 820593.

You'll be glad to hear my training with my 8 month old pup Eva is going well... er, WAS going well! Eva can walk past a food bowl loaded with choice viands if I give her the 'Leave' command (although she does look reproachfully at me while doing so) but then she discovered gardening!

"Leave," I say sternly as she demolishes the shrubbery and then I realise I've just asked her to leave leaves and I end up giggling which completely undermines my authority!

I'll be having another floral moment tomorrow. Do come and join me!

  1. Thanks for the sneak peek! Loving some of those new colours (strange that there's no blue, though, don't you think?). Can't wait to see what you do with that new alpha!

  14. Great cards!!! And, such a good way to introduce the new IN COLORS.
I'm stumped, though.....could you tell me how, exactly, you did the circles?
    Thanks so much!

  15. Oh my gosh, thanks for making me giggle after I read about little Eva, your gorgeous little pup (and getting bigger so quickly too!). Super awesome post on the new in-colors. I was going to try and do this for myself to see how the new colors fit in with the existing colors and now you've done all the work for me and everyone else! My absolute all time fav is Tip Top Taupe. The Dijon is starting to grow on me. I fell in love with Mint Macaron after seeing it next to Island Indigo - it looks like "sea glass" to me now, and I live near the sea so I love that combo. Thanks so much Vicky!

    1. Hi Sherry - yes, it's so simple: I cut a circle in 3 toning colours using the 2 1/2" circle punch, then stacked them and chopped the stack into 3 roughly equal pieces. I then selected one of each colour to make up the circle (making sure I chose the right pieces to get the perfect circle!) You actually end up with enough pieces to make 3 cards! Hope this helps :)
