Hello crafting pals!
Thank you for suggesting other challenges - I'm on a roll! Less is More is a challenge that I rarely used to miss four years ago and I'm delighted to see it's still going strong, albeit without Chrissie.
This week's challenge is to use small images on a CAS card.
Despite losing most of my stamps, I do seem to have found a few tiny ones so I was able to get stamping without too much deliberation! Come and see what I made:
This cute little duckie mobile image is from a Stampin' Up set that retired many moons ago, Punch Bunch. I have no idea what happened to the other stamps in the set - this is the only one I have left! I inked it up using Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Smoky Slate markers, huffed and stamped, then snipped round the tag shape. That was mounted with dimensionals onto a slightly larger Blushing Bride tag shape and a white twine bow added.
A tag can get lost in the middle of a card, so I anchored it with a doodled cord, decorated with stamped and punched little hearts.
We are all sweltering here in the heart of England. I'm taking Eva walking by the river so she can get plenty of exercise but still stay cool. She's brilliant at shaking the water off when she gets out! There were lots of people around today and I offered them a free shower but, although they all looked very hot, there were no takers! Odd! Eva and I just looked at each other and shrugged ;)

Hi Vicky, nice to meet you and welcome back ! So happy you join the LIM challenge again with this so darn cute card. I love your beautiful CAS design and your clever and lovely way to hang the tag. Striking take on our challenge! By the way I would have loved to receive Eva’s free shower today, it was so hot here (42 degrees !). Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Izzy! So happy to find LiM again 😊
DeleteIt's been ridiculously hot today hasn't it - poor Eva hasn't had the energy to shake!
So excited to see you back Vicky! I like others thought I was seeing things when I saw your post in my inbox. So happy that you are better now and back on the crafty trail. I am in the process of a huge clean out of my craft stash - I only wish I was not in Australia as would love to give you some of the stamp sets I have. My daughter is moving to Cambridge soon to start her PHD - so maybe I could sneak some in a suitcase on one of my visits :-) ( 4 years is a long time!). I am sure you will have fun building your supplies again. I don’t know if you ever discovered Jennifer McGuire - but I love her organization and craft room! She also does a review of her ‘favourite things’ each year. You might enjoy this to see some of the new supplies out there. I just have SU supplies mainly as I find it gets a bit overwhelming with colours and papers otherwise. I too want to change to the new stamp pads - the ink formula is perfect now and I too love the way they stack. Have fun and enjoy , cant wait to see what you get up to. Louise xx (Brisbane, Australia)
ReplyDeleteAw, Louise, you are lovely! Four years is a long time but I have learned that you don't need a huge great stash to make things. Thanks for suggesting Jennifer McGuire's review - I know of her but haven't seen that. Hope your daughter has a wonderful time studying in Cambridge! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky. This is the sweetest card. I love that little tag with the mobile on it and I love those little hearts you strung on to the hanger. A perfect card for our small images challenge. Thanks so much for playing with us at Less Is More.
