A gift for one of my Stampin' Up team

I joined Stampin' Up during Sale-a-bration and I'd recommend it! Why? Because on top of the great value starter kit, you get extra goodies of course! Whether you're interested in joining to get your Stampin' Up craft supplies at a discount or whether you'd like to set up a business that brings in a proper income, it's always good to get something for free! This year, you can choose your free products from two different options - read all about it here.

New demonstrators that join my team get a welcome pack from me - a pretty notebook, a handmade card, a swatch of current card stock, something yummy...! And as time goes on, and they achieve their goals and titles, they get celebratory cards and gifts from me too. One lovely lady recently received this little gift set through the post:

It was made with a beautiful paper from the Confetti Celebration pack and the hostess stamp set called I like You, which is brilliant for colouring with blendabilities markers.

This is a design I use often and it works particularly well with a background with strong horizontals like this one.

My team receive a charm bracelet and handmade charm when they achieve their first title and a new charm each time they gain another. I find the Gift Card thinlits die really useful for gift wrapping small gifts like jewellery as well as gift cards or money.

I love to surprise people with a sweet treat! This little box is just the right size for two mini bars of lush Green & Blacks chocolate. Click here for my video tutorial.

Despite my youngest son's hugby tackles and my puppy snuggles I'm still missing my daughter since she returned to uni on Sunday. And I think someone else misses her too...

Ahhh! My two favourite girls! They have so much in common too - naughtiness, a wicked sense of humour and the fact that they both 'borrow' my clothes!

Ideas for using the Gift Card thinlits die - Stampin' Up Artisan blog hop

Hooray! it's Thursday and the whole Stampin' Up Artisan design team is back together for another fabulous blog hop!! So sit back with a nice cuppa and enjoy a whopping dose of inspiration with us!

GIFT WRAPPING FOR A SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT
I can't tell you how excited I get when my free box of Stampin' Up goodies turns up at my door each month - it's amazing! November's box contained the Gift Card Thinlits die and when the lovely  Yvonne, a member of my team, promoted I thought I'd use it in two different ways to make a celebratory card and gift wrap for her. Come and see:

First the card: I used the Gift Card die with one of the gorgeous papers from the Color Me Autumn pack and cut one side off to make a pocket for the front. It was lined with card stock and the front decorated with gold accents. The sentiments were cut out with one of the extra dies that come with the Gift Card.

I made a tag to pop in the pocket using the gorgeous vintage telephone from Timeless Talk. Yvonne doesn't live locally to me but we chat often on the phone and on Facebook and I am very definitely here for her!

Would you like to see her present?

Members of my team get a special charm bracelet when they promote and a little hand-made charm each time they reach a milestone. I wrapped Yvonne's bracelet in tissue paper and used the Gift Card die to make a wrap to fold around it.

The gift was finished with a little tag and some gold ribbon wound several times round the package and tied up with a flourish!

Here's the gift and the card posing together! And there we go - two ways to use the Gift Card thinlits die which I know will become a often-used friend in the Craft Square Metre!

I hope you enjoyed this project. Now, are you ready for more inspiration? Then click the button below to hop over to visit the fabulous Allison Okamitsu:

We're enjoying half term here but just because my youngest son is off school doesn't mean he's not continuing his education. Yesterday, for example, he learned to haggle in fractions!
Me: Eat up your salad sweetheart
Him: Hmmm, I'll have half of it...
Me: Three quarters!
Him (beginning to laugh): Two thirds!
Me (giving him a stern look)
Him: Oh all right then! (and then eating half of it!)

See you tomorrow for more crafting fun!
