What's new at Stampin' Up for 2015?

Hello! I'm just checking in on New Years Eve to wish you a happy 2015! (And if I've been playing around with some new Stampin' Up products, well who can blame me? There were a couple of VERY tempting boxes of lurking about on my desk!)

This card was made with new stamps from the upcoming new Stampin' Up spring/summer catalogue. I couldn't wait to get my paws on these! There are more cute characters in the set and they're all holding up placards that you can fill with a variety of sentiments, making it perfect for any occasion you could possibly think of! I stamped the year in mine using the Project Life Day to Day stamp set...

...then stamped the inside of my card with the Happy New Year sentiment from Making Spirits Bright. (LOVE this fun set with it's fab drinks images and greetings covering all occasions - but hurry as it's only available until the end of today!)

I hope you had a great Christmas. I was expecting chaos in our house with a young puppy but in fact she behaved beautifully and obviously enjoyed having the whole family together. There were some memorable moments:

My husband handing me a present that had been wrapped in small pieces of four different Christmas papers. "It's a bit eccentrically wrapped I'm afraid," he said!

My eldest son, sampling the boxing day buffet, saying "Mmmm! This is nice. What flavour is it meant to be?!"

The puppy opening her very own present very efficiently...

... and being inseparable from Pig Friend for the rest of the day!

See you tomorrow,

Is Santa on his way to your Holiday Home?

As I was sitting at my desk yesterday, surrounded by my Stampin' Up Christmas stash, I suddenly realised something was missing... my Stampin' Glitter! Yay - let's get the glitter out!  I've gone all arty with it today - come and see:

I think the flying Santa's sleigh image from Holiday Home is just magical and reminds me of all the wonderful Christmas story books I used to read to the children when they were little ones.

To create this wintery scene, I masked off the moon with a punched circle and dragged ink pads over it in various blues.

I used Memento black ink to add Santa and also the tree which I repeatedly stamped to give the impression of a wooded landscape. The trees were dotted with my two way glue pen and sprinkled with glitter.

A nice bright greeting finishes the card - this one is from Making Spirits Bright.

This is the second card I'll be linking up with Less is More this week - they have a gorgeous, icy colour palette to inspire us! I'm also entering 52CCT's Pick a Previous Challenge and have chosen the March 2014 colour combination.

It's Friday *jumps up and down like a loon* and it's time to pick my daughter up from the station! We are going to do baking, decking the halls, crafting (naturally!), shopping, playing with puppies, rustling wrapping paper and keeping secrets... But not necessarily in that order!

See you on Monday

Get ready to celebrate with Making Spirits Bright by Stampin' Up!

There's nothing like the clinking of glasses of bubbly to say congratulations and Stampin' Up's new set, Making Spirits Bright, contains the perfect pair! Come and see:

This card was made for a member of my team who has achieved so much in a short space of time. I wanted to send her a card to celebrate and I hope champagne and gold sequins struck the right note!

The glasses were heat embossed with gold embossing powder and the champers coloured in with blendabilities - can you see how it's blended from light to dark?

I'll be linking this card up with Less is More where the lovely ladies are celebrating the 200th challenge with a Celebrations theme! Huge congratulations to you all, especially Chrissie who came up with the idea for this challenge site with her friend Mandi, and who has grown a wonderful, warm friendly crafting community.

I made a little gift to go with this card.

This little pouch was made with one of the envelopes from the Gratitude for Days kit on page 38 of the Stampin' Up autumn/winter catalogue. The kit was designed as a 'grateful diary', to be filled in and kept as a keepsake, but it's also perfect for presenting small gifts.

Want a peek inside?

Slide the band off and tucked inside is a handmade charm. Members of my team get a charm bracelet on their first promotion and a charm each time they achieve another title.

It's been quite a weekend! I never quite realised quite how restful our cat was until the puppy turned up! I think we can safely say that Eva has settled in now. She knows that she must go outside when she needs to go, sleeps happily through the night and as long as we feed her at regular intervals, play with her and give her lots of cuddles, she's perfectly happy thank you very much!

Look how big she's getting! Never lie on the floor when there's a comfy human to lie on, that's her motto!

See you tomorrow with more celebrations!
