Celebrate a golden day with Stampin' Up!

If you love Stampin' Up products, I'm sure you'll have wished that you could get more of them for less money. Well, you can! Every week the company offers selected products at slashed prices and I made this celebration card...

... to celebrate this week's fabulous selection of Weekly Deals!

The subtle texture on the background is made with the Diagonal Scoring Plate that fits neatly into your Simply Scored tool. The decorative possibilities are endless with this - and the plate even makes envelopes too!

I gave my panel a pretty wrap using the fancy foil vellum with hearts, adding extra hearts cut out effortlessly with the Confetti Hearts border punch. Produce loads of tiny, perfect, delicate hearts with one click of this punch and use them for cards, scrapbooks, table confetti or sprinkled into a gift before wrapping or into an envelope before sealing it.

This stunning gold ribbon is on offer too. It's a good idea to stock up on this as it's handy for adding touches of trend-setting gold to your projects throughout the year and, if you should have any left over, will make your Christmas gifts look shiny special too!

 • I've used just a few of the items on Weekly Deal for this card. You'll be able to get these products at the special prices until Tuesday 17th June 2015. Click here to see all the current special offers

My golden girl is really growing up now - although she certainly doesn't think so! Here she is having 'puppy cuddles' with my 6 foot tall eldest son.

Have a wonderful weekend won't you. I'll be back on Tuesday with more crafting fun.

Get more Stampin' Up products for your money!

I nearly fell over when I saw this week's Stampin' Up Weekly Deals - LOADS of lovely bargains! I wouldn't want you to miss out on the Bright and Beautiful Christmas stamp set or the wonderful From the Garden set and there are some fabulous embellishments at great prices too!

This card was made using the gorgeous Artisan Embellishment kit which is on special offer this week. The kit is full of ribbon, lace, pearls, tulle flowers, doilies and beautiful little embellishments as well as a couple of stencils. I coloured inside one of the stencils with markers to create the background and stamped a bold sentiment from Bravo over the top.

If you're a regular here you'll know that I love coordinating cards and gifts. Repeating the stencil design on a scrap of card stock and cutting it out makes a sweet embellishment to decorate a little gift.

Take a look below at all the fabulous bargains available this week as part of the Weekly Deals promotion! But hurry, they'll only be available at these prices until Tuesday night!

I've started 'clicker' training with my pup Eva. It's a really good way of marking behaviour that you'd like repeated and some dogs find it an easier way of communicating than trying to understand English! The clicker has a very distinctive sound and when my husband saw me clicking the other day he suddenly said "Ah! So that's what that noise is!" He went on to explain that it sounds like a can being opened and when he was in his office upstairs, he imagined that I was incredibly thirsty and opening can after can!

I'll be back here on Tuesday with more crafting fun so I'll hope to see you then. Have a great weekend!

Get ready to celebrate with Making Spirits Bright by Stampin' Up!

There's nothing like the clinking of glasses of bubbly to say congratulations and Stampin' Up's new set, Making Spirits Bright, contains the perfect pair! Come and see:

This card was made for a member of my team who has achieved so much in a short space of time. I wanted to send her a card to celebrate and I hope champagne and gold sequins struck the right note!

The glasses were heat embossed with gold embossing powder and the champers coloured in with blendabilities - can you see how it's blended from light to dark?

I'll be linking this card up with Less is More where the lovely ladies are celebrating the 200th challenge with a Celebrations theme! Huge congratulations to you all, especially Chrissie who came up with the idea for this challenge site with her friend Mandi, and who has grown a wonderful, warm friendly crafting community.

I made a little gift to go with this card.

This little pouch was made with one of the envelopes from the Gratitude for Days kit on page 38 of the Stampin' Up autumn/winter catalogue. The kit was designed as a 'grateful diary', to be filled in and kept as a keepsake, but it's also perfect for presenting small gifts.

Want a peek inside?

Slide the band off and tucked inside is a handmade charm. Members of my team get a charm bracelet on their first promotion and a charm each time they achieve another title.

It's been quite a weekend! I never quite realised quite how restful our cat was until the puppy turned up! I think we can safely say that Eva has settled in now. She knows that she must go outside when she needs to go, sleeps happily through the night and as long as we feed her at regular intervals, play with her and give her lots of cuddles, she's perfectly happy thank you very much!

Look how big she's getting! Never lie on the floor when there's a comfy human to lie on, that's her motto!

See you tomorrow with more celebrations!

Congratulations with a bang using Kinda Eclectic from Stampin' Up

I've found another way of using Stampin' Up's brilliant new Kinda Eclectic stamp set and it's perfect for celebrations! Come and see:

The sunburst image makes fabulous fireworks when stamped in bright colours. I used Tempting Turquoise, Tangelo Twist and Daffodil Delight for mine and added a dynamic sentiment from Sassy Salutations.

Every celebration needs a bit of extra sparkle so I added some large gems, coloured with blendabilities. (How much do I love my blendabilities, on a scale of one to ten? Eleven!) These large gems are retired now, but the largest ones from the Basic Rhinestone packs would work well too.

My daughter has the loveliest boyfriend. He recently turned 18 and naturally his thoughts turned to the legal implications of this. "Just think!" he said. "Now I can go and buy fireworks!" Someone laughed. "Never mind fireworks, now you can legally buy alcoholic drinks!" He stared at them. "Drinks don't go bang in the sky!" he said scathingly.

See you tomorrow.

Congratulations with Secret Garden

When I first joined Stampin' Up, I certainly couldn't have imagined that I might build a team and help others to start their own businesses too. But, as I began to learn about how Stampin' Up worked, I became enthusiastic about sharing my experience with others and that's when I started my fabulous Inkredibles group. I love getting to know my team and working out how best to support them - whether they want to earn some money or simply enjoy Stampin' Up as a hobby. I'm always delighted when they reach a milestone so I thoroughly enjoyed making today's project for the lovely Jan to celebrate her promotion just before Christmas. Come and see:

It's always lovely to get a handmade something through the post, and a promotion is the perfect excuse to send a card and little gift to say congratulations!

The card was made with Stampin' Up's beautiful Secret Garden set, stamped onto Core'dinations card stock to give a nice textured look. This stamp set has coordinating dies so that you can cut the elements out neatly without scissors if you choose.

I cut out one of the flowers to embellish the scored sentiment banner on this card. I've used the beautiful Express Yourself hostess set again as I think it has to be my favourite sentiment set of the moment! And can you see the piercing round the edge of the panel? I always think a pierced frame adds a nice bit of subtle detail and a neat finish and it's so easy to do with the Essentials piercing templates.

I was really pleased with this little box, made to house one of my team bracelets and a charm. The belly band was made out of Colour Collection designer paper - these amazing stacks come in ALL the Stampin' Up colours and are so useful! The box was tied up with 1/8" taffeta ribbon with two branches from the 2 step bird punch tucked into it, and embellished with one of the tiny flower punches from the Itty Bitty punch pack.

There's always room for more members in my team and I'd love to welcome you aboard. Click here for more details or give me a ring on 01280 820593 for a no-pressure chat.

Here's what you'll need to make this project
Stamps: Secret Garden, Express Yourself
Ink: Early Espresso
Card stock: Very Vanilla smooth and core'dinations, scraps of Garden Green and Rich Razzleberry for  box embellishments
Other: Secret Garden framelits, Big Shot, 2 step bird punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Basic pearls, Colour Collection designer paper (regals), Rich Razzleberry 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Essentials piercing templates mat and tool, Simply Scored, stamp-a-majig

I'd invited all my children to see the Desolation of Smaug at the cinema yesterday but, since my eldest son got a better offer (!) and my daughter ended up working instead, my youngest son turned out to be my sole companion. He suggested that we watch Frozen instead as we both love a good animation. Sadly it turned out to be a pretty mediocre film in terms of plot and character but it really was a visual treat.  The only problem was that the theatre was a bit on the nippy side and I'd left my coat in the car so all the ice and snow was probably the last thing I needed!

See you tomorrow when I'll have another special gift to show you!
