Masculine Monday - Ain't Love Grand!

Hello! I'm starting the week as usual with a male card but I've also got some other exciting business - I'm announcing the winners of last week's prize draws! More about that later, but first let's have a look at a birthday card I made using a gorgeous set called Ain't Love Grand:

I'm very drawn to these retro-style images and think they deserve to be the focal point of a card. I coloured this noisy chap with markers and a blender pen, sponged in the suggestion of a background and mounted him on several layers of Sahara Sand card stock swiped with the edge of a Sahara Sand ink pad.

The swiping gives a much harder line than sponging and I thought it worked well here for this retro look.

Here's a close-up of the image. Sahara Sand is also a great colour to use as a shadow to make your image really pop. This mega phone guy really makes me smile and is one of six gorgeous outlined images with sentiments attached in the Ain't Love Grand stamp set. The set is one of this year's hostess sets and you can buy it for only £13 with hostess pounds earned from holding a qualifying workshop or placing an order for £150 or more.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Ain't Love Grand
Ink: Early Espresso, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand
Card stock: Sahara Sand
Other: Markers, blender pen
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

Now it's time to share the winners of last week's prize draws with you:

Saturday - Freda Makem won the Silhouette Sentiments set
Sunday - Dawn Heaton won the Flower Accent stamp
Monday - Julie Ratcliffe won the Real Red taffeta ribbon
Tuesday - Monica Tate won the Rich Razzleberry ink pad
Wednesday - No orders were made on this day so I carried the prize over to Thurday!
Thursday - Sue Baker won the embellishments and Sian Horton won the Punch Potpourri set
Friday - Brenda Smith won the designer paper

Congratulations to all you lovely ladies - your prizes are on their way to you and I hope you enjoy them! I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone that took part in my catalogue launch celebrations and shared in my excitement. Of course I shall continue to show you cards and projects made with goodies from the catalogue and hope that you'll be inspired!

Thank you for dropping in today and I'll see you tomorrow,
