Rev up the Fun for a boy

I am one of those weirdo types that likes making cards for males, so I got all fired up when I saw the Less is More Masculine challenge today. I've been wanting to ink up Stampin' Up's Rev Up the Fun set for a while now and this was the perfect opportunity! Come and see:

I masked off the left side of the card before stamping the car from the set repeatedly in various shades of blue and grey. This design relies on the stamp-a-majig for accurate stamping and, if you've always wanted to know how to use one of these, my video tutorial will be out next Thursday - so watch out for that! (If you'd like to see my other video tutorials, click here.)

When I'd finished stamping, I removed the mask and drew a line with my Island Indigo marker using a ruler for a neat finish. The sentiment was heat embossed in white on a strip of Island Indigo card stock and attached to the card. TIP: If you want nice, neat heat embossing, wipe an embossing buddy over your card stock before stamping to take away the static build up.

I've just got time to link this card up with CASology's Bold challenge which is finishing tomorrow and it'll also be my second entry at Crafty Cardmakers where the theme is It's A Man's World.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO MAKE THIS CARD

I hope you enjoyed Valentines Day. We spent the evening dining at home although to be honest it seemed more like Halloween with candles flickering in the draught and us yelling at each other over the noise of the howling wind!

But then again, what's good enough for Morticia and Gomez is certainly good enough for us! One of my many favourite Addams family quotes:

Morticia: Gomez.
Gomez: Querida?
Morticia: Last night you were unhinged. You were like some desperate, howling demon. You frightened me. Do it again!

See you soon,

  10. Wow! Striking card. I will be watching your vidoe as I have a Stampamajig but have no idea how to use it. I am a hopeless stamper to begin with. I waste a lot of paper to get one good image. Hopefully it will help me!

    Great masculine card.
