New craft stash - YAY!!!

Hello crafting pals!

What an exciting day it has been! Postie came round with a very intriguing parcel and when I opened it, there was a bunch of new stamp sets inside! I only ordered them yesterday! It would've been rude not to christen at least one...

... so I opened up Beautiful Branches by Concorde & 9th. Look at the sentiment! It's making my heart sing! And the flowers and leaves! This whole card was the work of a few minutes (well, I had chores to do!) but the sentiment is pretty much carrying the whole thing.

The flowers and leaves are quite 'arty' which leaves you free to either use them as they are, or colour them in as I did. I used a mix of Stampin' Up retired colours Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and the ancient Orchid Opulence. I used to dislike this colour but think it's quite fresh-looking now!

This is the set:
Just think of all the fabby things I can do with all of this!

If you're in the UK, you may wonder where you can get this set. Well, I got mine from the lovely Tara at Seven Hills Crafts, an online shop specialising in supplying fabulous US stamps, dies and other products without the duty, shipping costs and delays incurred by individuals ordering direct. There's a sale over there until noon on Monday, so why not pop over and have a browse? And no, I'm not affiliated to the company in any way; I just appreciate good stock and excellent customer service!

Just take a look at my new stash! *practically faints with excitement*

This little beauty from my garden inspired my card today:

Isn't it gorgeous?! My garden would look nice but Eva, being a retriever, likes to gather up clothes and shoes from around the house and make piles of them there. My daughter, passing through the other day, looked around admiringly. "It's looking lovely," she said. "The geraniums, the hydrangea - and I particularly like the unusual underpants feature!"

Thanks for popping round today. See you soon for more crafting fun!

  6. Great choices in stamp sets, Vicky! You can get lots of mileage out of these. Love the sweet orchid flowers. I fell in love with Orchid Opulence after it retired. It's a perfect match for your real live flower!
