Well, first let me show you the box. Isn't it cute?! Once I'd die-cut the box, including two pieces of designer paper to gussy it up a little, I added a tag (three different ones are included with the die) and tied it to the handle with some of the beautiful lace trim.
So how do you get a mug from this box? Well, the cream panel facing you in the photo above is just the right shape! I cut one out of Cherry Cobbler card stock, turned it upside down and trimmed the top off it to use as a handle...
... tada! It's a mug! It's hard to see in this photo but I smooshed versamark over the pieces and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder to give my mug that shiny ceramic look.
The steam coming out of the mug was drawn in with an aquapainter and I added a punched heart and some gems.
The card and box make a cute little gift set, perhaps for someone very dear to my heart who has just started university...
